The Baahubali world is characterized by the many different types of people inhabiting it, and is home to many factions and cultures.

Mahishmati[]

The main focus kingdom of the franchise, which oversees many neighboring kingdoms and is ruled by a monarchy which is also an emperor. The original royal family of Mahishmati as known was ruled by king Somadeva, his brother Jayadeva, his wife, and his two sons Vikramadeva and Bijjaladeva, as well as his slave warrior Malayappa and his sons Shivappa and Kattappa. Bijjaladeva later got married to the former subject Sivagami and has a son named Bhallaladeva . Vikramadeva has a son named Amarendra Baahubali.

The kingdom has been a target of many foes desiring it's power both in the inside and out. Nevertheless the monarchy has been successful in forging alliances, holding events, and caring for their people.

The kingdom as if the Conclusion is ruled by Mahendra Baahubali and Avanthika with Devasena as queen mother.

Kuntala[]

The home kingdom of king Jaya Varma, Kumara Varma, and Devasena. The kingdom is renowned for it's agriculture and has built a dam next to a river, and is symbolized by sacred cows. Great respect goes to anyone who tames wild bulls. The kingdom is destroyed in conquest by Bhallaladeva.

Kalakeyas[]

Tribe of nomadic savages characterized by laying waste to kingdoms and civilizations, stealing their wealth and moving on to the next. They speak a fictional language called Kiliki, which includes grunts and lip clicking. They are seen residing in villages consisting of tents decorated in bones and shredded lumber, and the members appear to wear rough clothing, animal skin, and bone ornaments.

In The Lost Legends, the chief Inkoshi and the tribe becomes enemies with Mahishmati after the failed attempt to forge a truce. The fight between Baahubali and Inkoshi scars the latter's face in fire.

The tribe is crippled in the movie series after Inkoshi is killed.

Amburi Tribe[]

The Amburis are tribal people who reside near the vast Jeeva Nadhi river leading to Mahishmati, and next to a mountian. They worship lord Shiva and Sanga is one of the leaders. This is where Mahendra grew up after Sivagami smuggled him through a secret cave.

Pindaris[]

A tribe of nomadic warriors that are known to rob wealthy kingdoms and towns before murdering the residents by drowning them. Similar lifestyle to the Kalakeyas but don't behave like savages and appear not to have a native residence or hideout. The Pindari soldiers wear identical uniforms and an army of them are seen attacking Kuntala in the Conclusion. The general is thwarted by Baahubali and the rest of the army is either injured or killed after the dam is opened.

Vaithalikas[]

A tribe from which the residents are turned into the royal family's slave warriors in Mahishmati. The tribe is an alliance of malicious rebels led by Bhutaraya and intend to claim the kingdom for themselves.

Rudragni[]

A kingdom that Mahishmati has worked to form an alliance with against the Barbarian army. The kingdom was ruled by king Yaduvanshi and his children Vaarah and Yamagni. Yamagni unintentionally kills her father and Vaarah takes over as king, before he too is killed by Yamagni. Yamagni rules as queen and is an ally to Baahubali.

Barbarian Clan[]

A network of dangerous barbarians that rob kingdoms, similar style to the Kalakeyas and Pindaris but don slightly different uniforms.

Jwalarajyam[]

Kingdom resting in the crater of a volcano, houses a library said to house all knowledge. It is the home of princess Sujatha and target of the Barbarian clan.

Barigaza[]

Desert kingdom led by king Zoraver.

Agrata[]

Imperialistic kingdom led by the evil queen Kalpana Devi, consisting of a powerful army of female knights and soldiers that have ravaged multiple kingdoms armies including Paramans, Barigaza, and the Kalakeyas.

Nippon[]

A Japanese kingdom in competition of rule between warlords Torra and Ukami.

Amaram[]

An on off allied kingdom with Mahishmati ruled by king Parmamhans.

Pirate Tribe[]

Clan of pirates that have threatened Mahishmati's navy, led by Captain Kaalakhanjar and his daughter Ayesha. They were confronted by the royals of Mahishmati and were enemies turned allies for the kingdom.

Kuntalan Rebel Tribe[]

Tribe seen in the first movie, residing in a large forest cave neighboring the Amburis. Led by Jaya Varma with the intention to overthrow Bhalladeva and rescue Devasena.

Prayagirajyam[]

According to Bijjaladeva and Pradhan Guru, Prayagirajyam was a flawed kingdom that attempted to attack Mahishmati. Since they defeated their civilization Mahishmati took the Prayagis in as refuges.

Strukaal[]

A long lost civilization that had a warrior king named Durkaal, who defeated a demoness and trapped her in an urn by sealing it magically using a lock of his hair.

Strukaal worshiping tribe[]

A tribe of savage like folk who intend to guard and protect the magical urn of Strukaal.

Nomad tribe[]

Tribe of nomadic, wise and fierce warrior explorers previously led by Mahabali, now by his son Bhimdutt.

Hemvashi[]

Kingdom in the high mountains home to the Ratnapakshi, and homeland of prince Rudra Singh.
